Are you newly qualified and looking for an exciting opportunity to support patients rehabilitation post discharge from hospital as well as support patients at home to prevent hospital admissions? What about an opportunity to support the Ambulance services via an Urgent Care Response referral? If so, this role could be for you. North Bedfordshire is looking for a full time band 5 Physiotherapist to work within the 7 day service 8am-9pm. You need to be responsive, have strong physiotherapy assessment skills using a personalised approach for a wide range of physical needs/conditions. You will develop, implement, manage and review the planned recommendations that will support physical independence whilst reducing potential risks, deterioration/ hospital admission. You will work closely alongside all members of the therapy team, as well as the wider multi-disciplinary workforce across Bedfordshire, building close links with professionals and services required to wrap around the needs of each individual to provide a holistic approach. You will line manage and supervise unqualified staff within the team, supporting them to provide an excellent service to the local population. There is also an expectation to support student placements. All applicants should hold a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and be registered with HCPC. Please do not apply if you do not hold a full drivers license and have access to a vehicle. • The post holder will be accountable to senior members of the Community Therapy Team providing support to clients for a variety of therapeutic and clinical interventions. This may include clients with diverse presentation, physical and psychological conditions. • To work as part of a multi professional service, within the community setting, working with clients towards rehabilitation through taking an active role in the assessment, planning, implementation and individualised therapeutic interventions. • To assess, demonstrate and provide appropriate adaptive equipment to meet specific client needs and facilitate safety in their chosen environment. • Utilise Physio Tools to provide comprehensive treatment plans. • To hold responsibility for own caseload and work as an autonomous professional according to the Health Professionals Council’s regulations. • To develop good communication links with clients, carers and joint working with other services across professional and organisational boundaries in order to provide a client-centred, holistic and seamless service. • To work a variety of shift patterns including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis Undertakes lone working in the community.
